INTRODUCTION
In a context of internal armed conflict such the Colombian one, it is necessary to achieve the
maintenance of the rule of law through legal and legitimate institutional mechanisms. This is
a policy found in the National Development Plan of Colombia 2014-2018 and is framed
within the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, and it is established that the search
for peace promotes the consolidation of solid institutions that allow achieving a better State
for the generations of the future.
All the way through this paper, one can see it is based on the concept of sustainable
development, specifically on the debate that on this issue has been made at the international
level since the promulgation of the Sustainable Development Goals by the UN, a theme in
which peace is framed. Finally, to address the issue precisely in Colombia, as a country that,
