The importance of the NAD should be noted, as it requires particularly meticulous development,
given that it will be designed to gather attestation on activities such as meetings, training sessions,
kaizen events, and other interactions like hosting visitors, one-on-one sessions, conferences and
presentations, among other language events focused around their workplace linguistic needs. This is
needed to identify the common ground where employees from considerably different areas share like
            activities or demonstrate like patterns.

            Preliminary Results and Conclusions

The work of the mentioned authors infers into what this project should be about, in regards to the
aspects taken into consideration when developing needs analysis, language acquisition, formative
capabilities and context. They are informally ranked for their pertinence to the work under discussion
and, although not many of them offered a solid point of comparison with what the proposition is, all
of them have undoubtedly provided with external context to the situation under review, thereby hel-
ping with its design and reference. Preliminary results suggest that needs focus around three axes:
            a) English language interactions with suppliers not only from the United States, but mostly from other
countries, in this case, we observed the active function of English as an ongoing lingua franca. b)
Internal interactions with visitors, when travelling for business purposes and in training sessions or
events. c) Manuals, instructions, emails and other printed materials that require analysis and/or inter-
pretation. Upon these initial results, it can be concluded that there is in fact a commonality between
different aspects of Managerial/Engineering English for which the ESP course would be designed.
